How to play

  1. Read the pipes

Every tile belongs to the final network. The top-left dot marks the source. Pipes cannot point off the board or wrap across an edge.

  2. Rotate a tile

Tap a tile to rotate it clockwise. On the board, use arrow keys to move and Enter or Space to rotate. Connected pipes are highlighted.

  3. Protect and revise

Lock selected protects a tile. Unlock it before rotating again. Undo restores the previous edit. Reveal one tile uses the unique solution and adds one hint.

  4. Connect everything

Connect all 25 tiles with no open pipe ends and no loops. A completed board saves its hint count. New puzzle starts fresh.

Inside the game

What is Network?

Network is an untimed rotation puzzle. Each original 5×5 board is generated and checked for a unique solution. The final layout forms a single branching network without loops, using every tile. Pipe highlighting shows which tiles are currently reachable from the top-left source; it does not guarantee those orientations are correct. Practice boards are fresh each time and do not have daily drafts.

How your score works

Finishing saves hints used; fewer is better and 0 means no reveals. Rotations are shown for this puzzle but are not a saved best. Undo and locking are free; undoing a reveal does not remove its hint count, and undo does not reduce the rotation total. Different boards are not equal-difficulty comparisons. Refresh or New puzzle discards an unfinished board.

Example: a corner elbow

At the top-left corner, a two-ended elbow must point east and south. Pointing north or west would leave a pipe outside the board. Rotate it to face inward, then check its neighbors.

Playing tips

  1. Separate a useful clue from a confirmed tile

Highlighting means connected to the corner source, not necessarily correct. Lock a tile only when you want to protect it; a mistaken lock can be undone or unlocked.

  2. Start at the boundary

Begin at the corners: no pipe can point outside the board.

  3. Match both ends

A connection must match on both sides of an edge.

  4. Inspect the loose ends

A connected cluster can still have a loose end. Check every pipe before calling it complete.

Questions, answered.

Results describe this game session. They are not IQ scores, diagnoses or clinical assessments.

Highlighting shows reachability from the source. Every pipe must also meet a matching pipe, every tile must be connected, and the network must have no loops.

It reveals one orientation from the unique solution, names its directions, and locks the tile. It is an answer reveal, not a claimed deduction from your current marks.

No. This version provides fresh practice boards. Only a completed result is saved in this browser.
