How to play

  1. Study the pattern

Press Start and study the filled squares on the grid.

  2. Recall the squares

After they disappear, select every location that was filled.

  3. Build on your result

A complete correct pattern adds one square for the next round. Clear round 10 with 12 squares; any incorrect selection ends the run.

Inside the game

What is Visual Memory?

Visual Memory is a 10-round location-recall game. Patterns begin with three squares and grow to 12; the grid is 3×3 for rounds 1–3, 4×4 for rounds 4–7, and 5×5 for rounds 8–10. The challenge is to recall locations, not a click order.

How your score works

Your score is the number of squares in the largest pattern you completed, up to 12. It is simply a record of the current session.

Example: remember locations, not taps

On an early 3×3 grid, you might see the top-left, centre, and bottom-right squares filled. After the pattern hides, selecting those same three locations in any order clears the round.

Playing tips

  1. Look for a shape before individual cells

A diagonal, a corner pair, or a gap in a row is often easier to retain than a separate mental note for every highlighted square.

  2. Reset your scan when the grid grows

Rounds 1–3 use a 3×3 grid, rounds 4–7 use 4×4, and rounds 8–10 use 5×5. When the board changes size, make a fresh top-to-bottom scan rather than relying on the earlier layout.

  3. Look for small shapes

Notice small shapes, rows, corners, and gaps instead of memorising each square alone.

  4. Scan in a consistent order

Scan the grid from top to bottom before you begin selecting.

  5. Check your final choices

Do not rush the last few choices; one extra square is still an incorrect pattern.
